65 days to go. That's right.... 9 weeks to get myself into shape, try and figure out how to pack a full climbing set into 20kg of bag space and be ready to get on that plane.
So I need to tackle it on 3 fronts:
1. Cardio. This means going to the gym every lunch time and building up my heart and lung capacity.
2. Stamina. Long walks carrying a pack.
3. Stairs. Training for vertical rush to build up my legs to the long uphill sections.
The big difference now is I can actually feel something in the pit of my stomach. Anticipation? Fear? Hard to say but the feeling is growing little by little.
